The Jimi Hendrix Experience BBC Voodoo Child, Hey Joe

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Rare Archive BBC Footage
(The Lulu Show, black & white TV)

The Jimi Hendrix Experience appearing on the Lulu Show 1st January 1969.
Intro by 'Whispering' Bob Harris on The Old Grey Whistle Test.

Set list; Voodoo Child, Hey Joe, Sunshine Of Your Love (Cream Cover).

Because of Jimi's impromptu homage to the recently disbanded
Cream the show ran over its allotted time and subsequently
caused a massive uproar at the BBC.

The band were never booked to perform on the channel again.

BBC Sessions is an album of recordings by the rock group
The Jimi Hendrix Experience, released on MCA Records on June 2, 1998.
It contains all the surviving tracks from their various appearances
on BBC radio programmes...

The album also includes the only two surviving Hendrix UK TV
soundtracks (both BBC) Late Night Line Up ("Manic Depression"
only survives) and the 1969 Lulu Show (complete).
